Here at The Optical Shop our focus is you. Our mission is to create a personal eye care experience for every patient.
Our story began over 20 years ago when the doors of The Optical Shop first opened in 1997. From the very beginning we believed that eyewear is just as important as any other part of our clothing. Quality, style and variety have always been our watchwords. With brands such as Chanel, LINDBERG and Tom Ford as well as other niche independent, eyewear manufacturers we have ensured that our range never dates.

Situated in the heart of Blackrock, The Optical Shop quickly earned a reputation as an independent optician dedicated to providing professional advice and unparalleled eye care solutions to patients throughout Dublin. Constantly updating our equipment (now including Optical Coherence Tomography) ensures that all patients receive the most comprehensive eye examination available.
Our Team
Helen and her team of highly experienced staff believe that eyecare does not stop in the testing room. Once you leave the testing room we will discuss and guide on both lens and frame choice. Although we provide the most thorough and professional eye exam, we also believe that frame choice is as important and should be seen as an expression of personality and style.
